Carol Dewitt

Carol B. DeWitt of Livingston Manor, NY, a longtime area resident, died Saturday, February 4, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was 76.

The daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys Plass Lake, she was born November 19, 1946 in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Carol had retired as a cashier from Shoprite in Liberty, NY and prior to that she had been a nurse assistant.  She was a collector of Owl's, was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel DeWitt and his wife Lee Ann of Poughkeepsie, NY and Perry DeWitt and his fiancé, Jamie Parsons of Livingston Manor, NY; one daughter, Trisha Slater of Livingston Manor, NY; four brothers, Raymond Lake and his wife Rena of FL, Daniel Lake of Hyde Park, NY, Kevin Lake and his wife Bianca of Hyde Park, NY, and James Lake and his wife Clorinda of North Carolina; four sisters, Denise Calabro and her husband Buck of Poughkeepsie, NY, Karen Antenucci and her husband Steve of Hyde Park, NY, Tammy Stoll and her husband Glenn of Pleasant Valley, NY, and Marie Brown of Poughkeepsie, NY; six grandchildren, Darren, Alexis, Michael, Portia, Lakota and Skyler; six great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel L. DeWitt on May 29, 2008.

Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2023 from 1-2 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.  Memorial services will be Monday, February 20, 2023 at 2 PM in the funeral home.  Mother Diana Scheide will officiate.  Inurnment will be in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.
