Adalberto Santiago

Adalberto B. Santiago of Liberty, NY, a retired employee at the Concord Hotel in Kiamesha Lake, NY and a long-time area resident, died Friday, August 27, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Harris, NY.  He was 71.

The son of the late Wilson and Dolores Berrios Santiago, he was born July 19, 1950 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico.

Adalberto was a communicant at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Liberty, NY; he collected movies, music, and cars; he loved watching sports and WWE.

Survivors include his wife, Maria M. Santiago, at home; four sons, Jose Correa and his wife Chrislian of Lancaster, SC, Robert Serrano of Liberty, NY, Edward Goggins and his wife Lori Hurst of Middletown, NY and Brian Goggins and his wife Alison of Goshen, NY; one daughter, Maria Serrano of Monticello, NY; three brothers, Wilson Santiago and his wife Milagros of Ellenville, NY, Manuel Santiago and his wife Lydia of Ellenville, NY, Carmelo Santiago and his wife Mary Caperna of Middletown, NY; two sisters, Enedina Santiago of Puerto Rico and Lydia Colon of Middletown, NY; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Eduardo Correa.

Visitation will be Monday, August 30, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 10 AM in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 264 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY.  Father Edward Bader will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
