Adele Henry

Adele L. Henry of Liberty, NY, a retired bookkeeper for Sullivan County Oil Company and a lifelong area resident, died Monday, June 10, 2013 in the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. She was 77.

The daughter of the late Kurt A. and Adele Gavrachinsky Scheibe, she was born September 4, 1935 in Liberty, NY.

Adele was a member of the Liberty Methodist Church and had served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Liberty Cemetery Association for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and working in her flower gardens.

She is survived by her husband, Albert G. Henry, whom she married October 18, 1957; one daughter, Diana DiSanto and her companion, Francis D'Agati of Jeffersonville, NY; one brother, Kurt F. Scheibe of White Sulphur Springs, NY; two sisters: Mary Heinle of White Sulphur Springs, NY and Josephine "Pinky" DePuy and her husband, Richard of Port Charlotte, FL; one granddaughter, Angela Rose DiSanto of Rock Hill, NY and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 13th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Harris Funeral Home, West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 14th, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. John Thomason will officiate.

Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.
