Alba Shellman

Alba Shellman a 70 year resident of Roscoe, NY and a home maker, died Friday February 16, 2018 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY.  She was 89.

The daughter of the late Sergio and Filomena Picchi Baruffaldi, she was born March 9, 1928 in Rome, Italy.

Alba was baptized Roman Catholic at the Vatican, Vatican City, Italy; she arrived in the United States in 1947 and became a citizen in 1952; she was a loving mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her sons, David Shellman and his companion Cheryl Vintaloro of Lodi, NJ and Loren Shellman and his companion Debbie Thibodeau of East Branch, NY; her daughter, Sylvia Berger and her companion Shane Aleschus of Youngsville, NY; seven grandchildren, Andrea Shellman, Craig Shellman and his wife Jessie, Darci Shellman, Stephanie Shellman, Brett Shellman, Laura Canzano and her husband Justin and Julia Wadsworth and her husband Evan; three great grandchildren, Gregory, Kira and Sabin; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles S. Shellman on August 26, 2010.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 10 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 1 PM in the funeral home.  Father Edward Bader will officiate.

Burial will be in the Bon Air Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
