Albert J. Amoroso of Livingston Manor, NY, a retired employee of Eastman Kodak and a longtime area resident, died Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility in Liberty, NY. He was 83.
The son of the late Salvatore and Theresa Aucello Amoroso he was born March 16, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY.
After retiring from Kodak, Al and his late wife, Rosina, had owned and operated the Remember When Antique Shop in Livingston Manor for many years. He was an avid NY Yankee fan. Albert proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include two daughters: Susan Caleco and her husband, Mark of Seaford, NY and Diane Riegal and her husband, Arthur of Livingston Manor, NY; six grandchildren: Matthew Caleco, Christopher Caleco, Jessica Caleco, Katherine Riegal, Chelsea Riegal and Sarah Riegal. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosina, in 2002.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of the Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility for the excellent care provided to Al since 2009.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13th, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 13th at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Brother Paul Ansbro will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
Following the interment, a Respite will be held at the MSBF Meeting Hall, 106 Aden Road, Liberty, NY.
