Albert J. McArthur of Cochecton, NY, a retired laborer for Sullivan County Highway Department and a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, November 14, 2020 at his home, with his loving family at his side. He was 70.
The son of the late Stanley J. and Eldora P. Huebsch McArthur, he was born January 28, 1950 in Liberty, NY.
Albert proudly served Our Country in the United States Marines; and he had been a member of the International Order of Old Bastards.
Survivors include his siblings, Stanley A. McArthur and his wife Caroljean of Monticello, NY; Brenda D’Agata of Boca Raton, FL; Kathleen Maus and her husband Carlton of Kenoza Lake, NY; May Fulton of Cochecton, NY; Alberta Gale of East Branch, NY; and Jerry McArthur and his wife April of Livingston Manor, NY; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Amy Girard; and three brothers in law, John D’Agata, Robert Fulton and Terry Girard.
Graveside services and burial with military honors will be Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 1 PM in the Sullivan County Veteran’s Cemetery, Liberty, NY. Social distancing guidelines must be met, facemasks are required.
