Albert L. Picard, Sr. of Youngsville, NY, a retired teamster with Local #445 and a long time area resident died Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Westchester County Medical Center, Valhalla, NY.

The son of the late Albert and Mary Denk Picard he was born May 29, 1929 in New York City, NY. He was 86.

Albert was a member, Past President and a Former Commissioner of the White Sulphur Springs Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Liberty Elk's Lodge # 1545.

Survivors include three sons, Albert Picard Jr. and his wife Virginia of White Sulphur Springs, NY, James Picard and his wife Ann of Florida, and John Picard and his wife Karen of Swan Lake, NY; four grandchildren, Michael Picard, Christopher Picard and his wife Kali, John Picard, Jr. and Anthony Picard and his wife Nicole; five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn Hosking Picard and by one sister, Marie Amaroso.

Funeral services will be private with burial in the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
