Alice S. Brzytwa-Wojdat of Roscoe, NY, a retired social worker for New York University in New York City and a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Chestnut Park and Rehabilitation Center, Oneonta, NY. She was 67.
The daughter of the late Antoni and Zofija Swidkiewicz Brzytwa, she was born January 26, 1944 in the Town of Colchester, NY.
Alice was a Communicant of the Gate of Heaven Church in Roscoe, a member of the Roscoe-Rockland Garden Club and a member of the Roscoe-Rockland Volunteer Ambulance Corp.
Survivors include two sisters, Lydia Dudo and her husband Thomas of Averill Park, NY and Jadwiga "Hedy" Qualtere of Kingston, NY; two brothers, Walter Brzytwa and his wife Dee of Roscoe, NY and Tadek Brzytwa and his wife Carol of Florida; step children, Kurt Wojdat and his wife Donna, Rey Wojdat and his wife Lisa, Heidi Wojdat and Janine Rosener and her husband, Rich; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 4 - 7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday; Oct. 26, 2011 at 11 AM in the Gate of Heaven Church Highland Ave., Roscoe, NY. Monsignor William Collins will officiate.
Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the R & R Volunteer Ambulance Corp., P. O. Box 321, Roscoe, NY 12776.
