Allan Dampman

Allan W. Dampman of Liberty, NY, a retired Associate Dean of Community Services at Sullivan County Community College, Loch Sheldrake, NY died Friday October 14, 2016 at the Middletown Park Manor Rehabilitation. Middletown, NY. He was 90.

The son of the late Harry Herbert and Ethel May Thomson Dampman, he was born May 26, 1926 in Summit, NJ.

Allan proudly served Our Country in the US Navy during World War II; he was a member of the Youngsville Reformed Church; and enjoyed his work with the Sullivan County Historical Society. He had worked at the college for over 21 years before he retired.

Survivors include his sister, Margaret Edwards of North Carolina; one niece, Elizabeth Brett and her husband John of Port Chester, NY; and one nephew, Wayne Allen of San Francisco, CA.

Visitation will be Monday, October 17, 2016 from 2-3 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 17, 2016 at 3 PM in the funeral home.

Burial will be private in the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery, Liberty, NY.

Memorial contributions in Allan's name may be made to the Sullivan County Historical Society, PO Box 247, Hurleyville, NY 12747.
