Amy Lynn Poley of North Branch, NY, a lifelong area resident died Wednesday, October 23, 2024 in Hortonville, NY surrounded by family. She was 60.

The daughter of the late Earle O. and Ellen Mae Stewart Poley, she was born December 7, 1963 in Callicoon, NY.

Amy was a member of the North Branch United Methodist Church, a member of the North Branch Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Jeffersonville and Callicoon Senior Citizens. She was also an honorary member of the Tamarack Farm and Deer Club, and was named Delaware Valley Central School’s #1 Fan by the booster club. Amy loved her family, babies and the New York Mets. She had an excellent ability to remember people, names, birth dates and anniversaries. Amy enjoyed latch hooking, shuffleboard, playing piano, pinochle, and board games. 

Survivors include three sisters, Kay Rosenberger (Carl) of Hortonville, NY, Bonnie Dimler (Ross) of Jeffersonville, NY, and Jane Buddenhagen of Hortonville, NY; a brother-in-law, Roger Ebert of North Branch, NY; 12 nieces and nephews; 19 great nieces and nephews; 14 great-great nieces and nephews. Amy was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Carolyn Sue Ebert and a brother-in-law, Daniel Buddenhagen.

The family would like to thank the Orange-Sullivan Hospice members that provided such great care to Amy. 

Visitation will be Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 2-5 PM in the North Branch United Methodist Church, North Branch, NY.  Funeral services will be Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 2 PM at the church. Pastor Virginia Bossley and Lay Servant Shawn Bailey Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in the North Branch Methodist Cemetery, North Branch, NY.
