Andres Báez Molina

Andres Báez Molina of Swan Lake, NY, a long time area resident, died Monday, February 18, 2019 at his home.  He was 80.

The son of the late Inocencio Báez and Ramona Molina, he was born November 30, 1938 in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

Andres had worked for 43 years at the Catskill Regional Medical Center and had retired as a supervisor in the Laundry Department.  He was a member of the Primera Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal in Liberty, NY.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Nelida “Nelly” Ruiz Báez, at home; six children, Andrew Báez of Liberty, NY, Armando Báez and his wife Sonja of Palmerton, PA, Lillian Rubio and her husband José of Liberty, NY, Marc Báez and his wife Casey of Liberty, NY, Saraid Gonzalez and her husband Rafael of Liberty, NY, and Andrea Báez of Liberty, NY; one sister, Candita Ortiz; ten grandchildren, Joylene Rubio, Abi Rubio, Adrianna Rubio, Tony Hernandez, Seleina Dingevan, Victoria Gorman, Mia Parks, Monte Báez, Noah Báez, and Rafael Gonzalez; two great grandchildren, Kaleb Laidley, and Elliot Costello; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one brother, Elias Báez.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 3 to 7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.  Funeral services will be at 7:30 PM in the funeral home.  The Rev. Rafael Gonzalez will officiate.

Burial will be Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs, NY.
