Anna Haas

Anna Haas of Roscoe, NY, a home maker and a long time area resident, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY.  She was 97.

The daughter of the late William and Tryntse Idzenga Aarhelge, she was born October 8, 1921 in Amsterdam, Holland.

Anna enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross-word puzzles, sudoku and reading.

Survivors include two sons, William F. Haas and his wife Debra of Roscoe, NY and Robert W. Haas and his wife Debbie of Cooks Falls, NY; two daughters, Christina Contento and her husband Phil of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and Linda Townsend of Plainfield Township, PA; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Carl F. Haas on December 18, 1999 and her sister, Dorothy Fratter.

A memorial service will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY. The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.
