Anthony Cannone

Anthony "Tony" J. Cannone of Liberty, NY, retired truck driver for Camp Catskill, Liberty, NY, and a long time area resident died Sunday, July 5, 2015 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center, Liberty, NY. He was 78.

The son of the late Frank and Katherine Evanicki Cannone, he was born May 1, 1937 in New York City, NY.

Tony was a life member of the I.O.O.B.

Survivors include his sister, Frances Farina of Manchester, NJ; sisters-in-law, Diane Gerber-Cannone, Pat Maas and her husband James, and Diana Crescimanno and her husband Anthony; nieces and nephews; and one great niece; children of his late companion and love of his life, Michael McGuire and his wife Kathy and their family and Donald McGuire and his family.

He was predeceased by his companion, Georgiana "Gigi" McGuire; one sister, Marie Fuccell; and one brother, Ignatius Cannone.

The family wishes to thank all of his friends who helped him tremendously during the time of his illness. He will be remembered as a vibrant and loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 AM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Grahamsville Rural Cemetery, Grahamsville, NY.

Memorial contributions in Tony's name may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital PO Box 1893, Memphis TN 38101-9950.
