Anthony Mattera

Anthony Mattera of Jeffersonville, NY a carpenter for Local Union # 279 and a long-time area resident, died Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He was 57.

The son of MaryJane Fell Mattera and Anthony Mattera, he was born January 6, 1967 in Jersey City, NJ.

Anthony enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and fishing. He was an avid comic book and Hess Truck collector.  He had a big heart and was willing to help anyone in need.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Mattera, at home; his mother, MaryJane Mattera of Lanoka Harbor, NJ; his father, Anthony Mattera of Jersey City, NJ; one sister, Gina Mattera; one son, Charles Mattera of FL; one daughter Brittany Costello of Hankins, NY; two step-sons, Patrick Clifford and Kevin Clifford (Heather); three grandchildren, Adam Day, Killian Clifford and Keegan Clifford; and several nieces and nephews.
