Apolonia Bobek

Apolonia Bobek of Monticello, NY, a homemaker and a thiry-five year area resident, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center, Liberty, NY. She was 80 years young.

The daughter of the late Wojciech and Maria Cwiertniewicz Zygadlo, she was born February 13, 1931 in Kroscienko, Poland.

Apolonia was a Communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Monticello, NY; she enjoyed gardening and for many years attended her vegetable and flower gardens.

Survivors include one daughter, Bozena Bogacki and her husband Edmund of Liberty, NY; two sons, Krzysztof Soja and his wife Halina of Moscow, PA and Michael Soja and his wife Teresa of Norwalk, CT; one sister, Krystyna Plewa of Newington, CT; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 7, 2011 at 11:45 AM in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church 264 North Main St. Liberty, NY. Monsignor Edward Straub will officiate.

Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.
