Arthur W. Hellerer

Arthur William Hellerer, a lifelong resident of Jeffersonville, NY passed away Monday, November 25, 2024 at Roscoe Regional Rehab. and RHCF, Roscoe, NY. He was 82. 

Art was born April 4, 1942 in Jeffersonville to the late Adolf and Myrtle Mathern Hellerer. He was a graduate of Jeffersonville-Youngsville High School and proudly served our country in the US Navy from 1960-1964. He retired from Bricklayers & Allied Craft # 68 of Middletown, NY and Local #5 of Poughkeepsie, NY after 38 years. Art was a Charter Member and 30-year President of the Bucktail Hunting Club in Turnwood, NY. He was a life member of the NRA and Past Member of the Callicoon Masonic Lodge F&AM # 521 of Liberty, NY.

He was a devoted husband and he loved being a dad and grandpa more than anything.  Art leaves behind his wife Tracey of 55 years; his son, Aaron and his wife Amy of Jeffersonville, NY; and the special light of my life, his granddaughters, Samantha Lea and Allie Mae; his brother, Carl Hellerer and his wife Peggy of Ormond Beach, FL; his sister-in-law, Gale Myers of Thornton, CO; brother-in-law, Lynn Myers and his wife Liz of Sacramento, CA; and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Minor.
