Arthur Karadontes

Arthur A. "Tommy" Karadontes of Jeffersonville, NY, a retired employee for the Town of Bethel and a long time area resident, died Friday, January 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 78.

The son of the late Andrew and Chrysoula Solomos Karadontes, he was born February 9, 1938 in Palisades Park, NJ.

Tommy was full of wit and humor, and always the life of the party. He was devoted to his wife Mickey and his children, who were his best friends. He will be missed with love by everyone who knew him.

Survivors include his beloved children, Christine Karadontes and James Karadontes; his grandson, Niko; his sister, Anne Maus; sister-in-law, Lucy Karadontes; nieces and nephews, Georgia and Kevin Hart and Andy and Lori Karadontes; great nieces and nephews, Kali and Chris Picard and their children Melina, Braeden, and Rylan, Jared and Tina Hart and their son, Eli, Alexa McCosco and her daughter, Mya.

Very special thanks to his caring and loving caregivers Nicholas Kontzamanis and Alexa McCosco.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11 AM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Burial will be private in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, NY.

Memorial contributions in Arthur's name may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550 or a charity of one's choice.
