Barbara Ackerman

Barbara E. Ackerman of Liberty, NY, a retired switchboard operator for Kutcher’s Resort in Kiamesha Lake, NY and a long time area resident, died Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Achieve Rehab. and Nursing Facility, Liberty, NY. She was 81.

The daughter of the late Ernest and Alice Ashworth Barlow, she was born July 31, 1936 in Paterson, NJ.

Survivors include three sons, Brian Grant of New Windsor, NY, Joseph Ackerman of Tucson, AZ, and Stephen Ackerman of Middletown, NY; one daughter, Karen Budd and her husband George of Woodbourne, NY; 10 grandchildren, Amanda, David, Kailee, Jason, Christina, Valerie, Christopher, Charles, Gary, and Brian; 15 great grandchildren, Jysella, Giovanni, Paige, Gianna, Mason, James, Kamerin, Justin, Caydence, Breeanna, Brian, Brandan, Haileigh, Zane, and Blaze; and one nephew, Danny Barlow.

She was predeceased by three children, Grant Barry, Douglas Ackerman and Donna Ackerman McGuire.

Funeral services will be private.
