Barbara A. Hadden of Liberty, NY, a retired teacher at PS 36 in New York City, NY and a lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her home. She was 95.
The daughter of the late C. Alton and Frances Hunt Anderson, she was born November 8, 1927 in Walton, NY.
Barbara was a member of the Liberty Presbyterian Church; she had been a member of the Twin Village Golf Club and played in the Ladies League on Tuesday nights; she enjoyed golfing, gardening and playing cards.
Survivors include her sons, Clark A. Hadden and his wife Nancy of Livingston Manor, NY and Stephen L. Hadden of Mongaup Valley, NY; her daughter, Susan L. Hadden of Liberty, NY; two grandchildren, Jon Hadden of Livingston Manor, NY and Vanessa Hadden of Roscoe, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Sheldon Hadden in 2008.
Visitation will be Monday, January 30, 2023 from 2 to 4 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 11 AM in the Liberty Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Liberty, NY. Pastor Virginia Bossley will officiate.
Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
