Barbara Schnitzel

Barbara Ann Schnitzel of Harris, NY, a special child of God, crossed into Heaven Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. She was 53.

The daughter of the late John and Marian E. Sherwood Schnitzel, she was born June 26, 1962 in Elizabeth, NJ.

Barbara was a graduate of Orange County BOCES in 1983 and had been employed at Occupations Inc. for two years; she loved being a Girl Scout for 3 years; she enjoyed music, dancing and playing games. She resided with her sister Kriss until April 1987, when she moved to SDTC in Sullivan County, residing there for 29 years.

Survivors include her sister, Kriss Schnitzel of Callicoon Center, NY; and all the Caregivers, Drs and RNs at SDTC and ARC whom she loved. She was predeceased by her parents.

Barbara Ann is no longer wheelchair bound she is an Angel. Her last gift on earth was the donation of organs so others may live.

Barbara's family would like to thank the Drs. and RNs of Catskill Regional on CCU and Two West.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 5 to 7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 7 PM in the funeral home. The Rev. Christopher DeLong will officiate.
