Bethyl Sheable

Bethyl A. Sheable of Livingston Manor, NY, a retired nurse's assistant and a long time area resident died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at her home. She was 87.

The daughter of the late Henry and Flossie Martin Barrows, she was born April 8, 1927 in Maine, NY.

Bethyl was a member of the White Sulphur Springs Senior Citizens Group; she had been involved with many of the White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church activities; she enjoyed gardening and collecting recipes.

Survivors include one daughter, Fayellen Benton of Ferndale, NY; one son, James Sheable and his wife Brenda of Indianapolis, IN; two grandchildren, Timothy Sheable and Michael Sheable; one great granddaughter, Kearesten Sheable; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harold "Toby" Sheable in 1975; three sisters; and one brother.

Graveside services will be Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10 AM in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, NY. The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.

Memorial contributions in Bethyl's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
