Betty P. Campiglia (Becky) resident of Liberty, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at home. She was 84 years of age.

Betty was born in Teddington, Middlesex, England to Rose and Alec Hogg. She was the third (3rd) child of eight (8) children. Betty came to America in 1950.

While residing in New York City, Betty was a child care provider for twenty-five (25) years. She performed this service from her home, where she nurtured and enriched the lives of hundred's (100's) of children, of young professionals.

After acquiring a vacation home on Route 52, in Liberty, NY, Betty became a part-time resident of Sullivan County. She was well known for having weekend lawn sales. After her retirement she became a full time resident of Liberty, and spent her retirement years helping out at the family business, Amapro Golf Range. She loved waiting on customers, picking up and washing Golf Balls.

Betty was a volunteer at Harris Hospital, Harris Hospital Nursing Home SNF, Achieve Nursing Home, Roscoe Nursing Home, and she served food at the Liberty Lutheran Church. She played Mrs. Claus at various Nursing Homes during the Holiday Season. Betty's artistic talent flourished over the last twelve (12) years, when she began making flower baskets and painting scenes on rocks, which she distributed among her family and many friends.

She loved taking pictures, and never left her home without her camera. She also loved music and dancing, and you could find her dancing every Saturday night at the Racino in Monticello, NY.

Betty was vibrant in life and shared her enormous amount of love and generosity with all she met. She achieved her happiness by helping others. She was truly one of a kind. In a family statement it was said, "She was a wonderful, devoted and loving mother. She was always there for us, and no matter how old we were, she always pampered us like we were still her little boys. She will forever remain sadly missed in our hearts, and forever live in our memories."

She is survived by her sons, Nicholas and wife Regula of Sprakers, NY, Christopher and wife Liba of Grahamsville, NY, Robert and his companion Silvana Silveira of Newark, NJ, Mark and wife Robin of Wantagh, NY, Grandchildren, Chris Jr. of Oyster Bay, NY, Christina, Rebecca, Nicole, Julianna and Louis, and her loving companion of seven years, Harris Warren.

Betty was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Vincent Campiglia, and her loving granddaughter Ashley Campiglia.

Visitation will be Wednesday (today), April 18, 2012 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 11 AM in the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
