Betty Young

Betty J. Young of Roscoe, NY, a lifelong area resident died Wednesday October 12, 2016 at the Roscoe Regional Rehab. and Residential Health Care Facility, Roscoe, NY. She was 72.

The daughter of the late Martin and Florence Sweet Trask, she was born May 8, 1944 in Lew Beach, NY.

Betty had worked as a nursing assistant at the Roscoe Community Nursing Home for many years and she had attended the East Branch Community Church. She was an animal lover and loved her black lab, Knight and her cat, Flossie. Betty was an avid home shopper and once she even go to talk with Suzanne Somers. She loved shopping for her granddaughter, Lindsey, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Les Dickson and his fiancAC.e Veronica Brkal of Monroe, NY; one granddaughter, Lindsey Dickson of Monroe, NY; two sisters, Joyce Argent and her husband Dale of Livingston Manor, NY and Janice Campbell and her husband Emery of Roscoe, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Young in 2010.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 1 PM in the funeral home. The Rev. Paul Cicio will officiate.

Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
