Bonnie Schmitt

Bonnie Makinster Schmitt of Long Eddy, NY, a long time area resident, died Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Roscoe Regional Rehab. and Residential Health Care Facility, Roscoe, NY.  She was 70.

The daughter of the late Charles C. and Dorothy R. Chamberlain Makinster, she was born May 16, 1948 in Elmira, NY.

Bonnie was a nature lover and her smile would light up her face.  Her soul was filled with music and she had a heart as big as the moon.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Ricky Schmitt, at home; her son, Harold Bradley Coon III of Acidalia, NY; her daughter, Tracy Beech of Bently Creek, PA; her grandchildren, Jeremy Coon, Corey Irwin, Michael Beech, and Tasha Beech; her great grandchildren, Brody, Travis, and Lydia; her brothers, Charles Makinster of Ft Bragg, CA and Timothy Makinster of Bentley Creek, PA; her sister, Connie Daniels of Danville, PA; her step-mother, Charlotte Makinster of Bentley Creek, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 1 PM in the East Branch Community Church in East Branch, NY.  The Rev. Paul Cicio will officiate.
