Charles J. "Chuck" Buchholz of the Town of Fremont, Roscoe, NY, a retired self employed logger and a long time area resident died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his home. He was 65.
The son of Anita Pedalino Buchholz and the late William F. "Wally" Buchholz, he was born August 29, 1950 in Queens, NY.
Chuck was a member and past commander of the Floyd Keener American Legion Post # 315; a member of the AMVETS; a member of Rolling Thunder-Chapter 4; and a founding member of the breakfast club.
Survivors include three children, Charles Lawrence Buchholz of Anchorage, Alaska, Patrick Gibson Buchholz of Buffalo, NY and Dana L. Buchholz of Hamburg, NY; their mother, Doreen Rooney of Roscoe, NY; his mother, Anita Buchholz of Horton, NY; his brother, Thomas Buchholz and his companion, Mitzi Tompkins of Horton, NY; his companion, JoAnn Stuckert of Roscoe, NY; several cousins; nieces and nephews, including Brian Buchholz.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.
Military services will be held Sunday evening at 7 PM in the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Cooks Falls Cemetery, Cooks Falls, NY, in the spring.
Memorial contributions in Chuck's name may be made to any Local Veterans Association or to Roscoe Cares.
