Charles Mcadams

Charles "Buck" E. McAdams of Liberty, NY, a retired miner, "sandhog" with Local # 147 in New York City, NY, and a lifelong area resident died Sunday, August 16, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. He was 85.

The son of the late Charlie J. and Ruby Gorr McAdams, he was born July 22, 1930 in Livingston Manor, NY.

Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman; he enjoyed wood burning and bowling.

Survivors include his children, Charles C. McAdams and his wife Rose of Loch Sheldrake, NY, Karla J. McAdams of Loch Sheldrake, NY, Karen A. McAdams of Elmira, NY, Stephen M. McAdams and his wife Dawn of Mongaup Valley, NY, Dawn E. Atkins and her husband Marty of Liberty, NY, William Farren, and Frances Farren and his wife Bonny; his companion, Betty Dole of Parksville, NY; his siblings, Leila McAdams, Elizabeth Sherwood and her husband Jim, Arron McAdams and his wife Ginny, and Aquila McAdams and his wife Dianne; 32 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Jennie A. MaKinster; one step daughter, Janet Dailey; and two brothers, Rex McAdams and Joel McAdams.

Visitation will be Friday, August 21, 2015 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 21, 2015 at 7 PM in the funeral home. The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.

Burial will be in the Ashland Cemetery, Wellsburg, NY.
