Claire Kispert

Claire I. Kispert of Liberty, NY, a retired registered nurse and Assistant Pediatric Supervisor at Binghamton City Hospital in Binghamton, NY, a home maker and a longtime area resident, died Thursday evening, August 11, 2016 at her home. She was 91.

The daughter of the late Robert J. and Carrie E. Olsen Eilenberger, she was born August 8, 1925 in McKeesport, PA.

Claire was a graduate of Wagner College. While attending college she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority and also served as a U.S. Nurse Cadet Corp member during World War II. She was a long time member of the Liberty United Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday School Teacher and had served on the Council of Ministries; she was a Life Member of The Order of Eastern Star, she had served as a Den Mother for Cub Scout Troop # 95 in Liberty, and she is a former member and past president of the Liberty Central School PTA. For several years Claire had been an Election Inspector for the Sullivan County Board of Elections.

Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Kispert, at home; one son, Kevin Kispert and his wife, Cathy of Selden, NY. Claire was a loving and devoted wife and mother.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16 in the fellowship hall at the Liberty United Methodist Church, 170 North Main Street, Liberty, NY, with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary. The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate. Burial will be private in the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery, Sunset Lake Road, Liberty, NY.

Memorial contributions in Claire's name may be made to the Liberty United Methodist Church, 170 North Main St., Liberty, NY 12754 or to Orange-Sullivan Hospice, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
