Clementine M. Denman of Neversink, NY, a homemaker, bookkeeper and a long time area resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. She was 89.
The daughter of the late Harry and Ruth Cox Green, she was born February 7, 1926 in Connecticut. A graduate of Liberty High School, Clem grew up and raised her children in White Sulphur Springs. She later moved to Neversink where she shared a wonderful life with her husband Jack.
Clem was a member of the White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the White Sulphur Springs Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Clem was happiest while in the company of her family and friends. She especially loved watching her grandchildren ice skate on her pond in the winter; riding "the buggy" with the kids in the summer; and the chaos of Christmas morning. Clem made every occasion special for her family. Her laughter, wit and kindness brought joy to everyone. She is loved and cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Jack V. Denman, at home; her daughter, Cheryl Couturier of Jacksboro, TN; her son, Dwayne LaBagh and his wife Debra of White Sulphur Springs, NY; one brother, Jerald Green and his wife Mary Sue of White Sulphur Springs, NY; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one step son, Douglas Denman of Gainesville, TX; two step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Austin LaBagh and one sister, Dolores Arkenbout.
Visitation will be Monday, December 21, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 10 AM in the funeral home. The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.
Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, NY.
