Clifford Ulshafer

Clifford J. Ulshafer of Roscoe, NY, a retired chemist for American Cyanamid in Pearl River, NY and a long time area resident died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at his home. He was 91.

The son of the late Russell and Anna Mehalick Ulshafer, he was born May 13, 1926 in Sheppton, PA.

Clifford proudly served Our Country in the US Army during World War II; he was a member of the American Legion Post # 0616; a member of the VFW Post # 14000; a member of the Amvets,  FL Post # 0312; he was a member of the Liberty Elks Lodge # 1545; and he was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Obernberg, NY; he was a member of the Twin Village Golf Club in Roscoe, NY and had a hole in one during Monday Night League.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Bley Ulshafer at home; one daughter, Barbara Madara and her husband Bob of Washingtonville, NY; one son, Clifford R. Ulshafer and his wife Molly of Easely, SC; one brother, James Ulshafer and his wife Gertrude of Trescoe, PA; two sisters, Lois Schieder and her husband Donald of Wappingers Falls, NY and Phyllis McMichael and her husband Terrance of St. Charles, MO; and two grandsons, Steven Gargano and John C. Gargano.

Memorial services will be Friday, May 18, 2018 at 2 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.  Father George Baker will officiate.
