Cynthia "Cindy" Elaine Francisco of Roscoe, NY, the owner of the Sweet Tooth ice cream stand and the Roscoe Coffee Shop, Roscoe, NY, and a long time area resident, died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, NY. She was 61.

The daughter of the late Allan D. and Joan L. Pinkerton Gordon, she was born October 14, 1952 in Lancaster, PA. Cindy spent three years living in Japan as a child; then her father moved her family to North Tarrytown (now known as Sleepy Hollow, NY). She married Vernon Francisco in 1974 and they made their home in Roscoe, NY.

Cindy was a den mother for cub scouts; she was the founder of the Roscoe Nursery School and she raised funds and donated space for the school's first year; Once established, the school was provided space for the program at the Gate of Heaven Church, Roscoe, NY and it eventually moved to the Livingston Manor VFW.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon Francisco, at home; two sons, Christopher Francisco and his wife Robin of Roscoe, NY, and James Francisco and his wife Sara of Berlin, CT; two daughters, Victoria Sawall and her husband David of Loch Sheldrake, NY, and Mary Francisco and her fiancAC., Jon Dino of Redondo Beach, CA; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Isabella, and Skyler, of Roscoe, NY; one brother, David Gordon and his wife Trudy of MD; two sisters, Suzanne Williams and her husband Edward of Waterport, NY, and Carol Normile and her husband Daniel of NC; 5 nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

Cindy will be greatly missed by all of her friends and relatives.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 1pm in the funeral home. The Rev. Joanne Utley will officiate.

Burial will be in the Cooks Falls Cemetery, Cooks Falls, NY, in the spring.
