Daphne M. Eggler of Liberty, NY, died Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, NY. She was 80. Daphne was the daughter of the late Reginald and Minnie Doughty and grew up in Chislehurst, England.
Daphne loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandson who lovingly referred to her as Grandmum.
After retiring from NYSEG, Daphne enjoyed spending time with her sister-in-law, MaryEllen, outings and luncheons with her Red Hat friends, gardening, volunteering for the Daniel Pierce Library and spoiling her dog Charlie.
Survivors include her daughter Tracy Ross and her husband Kenny of Liberty, NY; daughter-in-law, Christine Cox of Neversink, NY; her grandchildren, Esti Ross and her fiancé Justin Marvisi of Woodland Hills, CA, Alli Ross of Encino, CA, Taylor Cox and Andrew Cox of Neversink, NY; one great grandson, Levi Tenenbaum of Encino, CA; her brothers, Reginald Doughty and Donald Doughty of England; sisters-in-law, MaryEllen Early of Liberty, NY and Joyce Teed of White Sulphur Springs, NY, David and Diane Eggler of Preston, CT, Keith Eggler of White Sulphur Springs, NY and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter Eggler; and her son, Bruce Cox.
Memorial services will be private. Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, N.Y.
