David Amato

David C. Amato of Downsville, NY, a retired laborer for Local # 754, Chestnut Ridge, NY and a long time area resident, died Friday, April 12, 2013 at his home. He was 57.

The son of the late Charles and Jacqulyn Larsen Amato, he was born July 9, 1955 in Hempstead, NY.

David was a graduate of Downsville Central School, Class of 1973; he had been a volunteer fireman; and he had operated the Eagle Hotel in Downsville, NY for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda J. Pinner Amato, at home; one son, Dominick J. Amato and his companion Becky of Downsville, NY; one brother, James Amato and his wife Jo Ann of Downsville, NY; one sister, Diane Edwards and her husband Glenn of Downsville, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one brother, Charles D. Amato.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 12 Noon - 3 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 3 PM in the funeral home. Father Michael Shank will officiate.

Following services a respite will be held at the James Moore American Legion Hall, Downsville, NY.

Memorial contributions in David's name may be made to the Downsville Ambulance Squad 15166 Route 30, Downsville, NY 13755.
