David Lockhart

David M. Lockhart of Grahamsville passed away at home unexpectedly on December 6, 2014. He was 83 years old. The son of Dr. Merton C. and Mary Lockhart (McNally), he was born on October 21, 1931 in Pearl River, NY.

David (Bic) attended Alfred University and served his country enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1952 serving under the Strategic Air Command for 20 years. He retired at the rank of Captain. He was a school bus driver for the GershowitzBus Company for over 30 years. He was an avid runner, competing in many marathons over the years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, was always ready to lend a hand to others and loved sharing a good joke.

He is survived by his brother, Merton C. Lockhart; a nephew, Gary Lockhart (Teri) and niece, Pam Zanetti (Keith); three great nieces and one great nephew, all of Grahamsville; and long time friends, George and Carol Gershowitz of Florida.He will be deeply missed by all.

Services will be private at the family's request.
