Destiny Macedonio

Destiny Rose Macedonio of Grahamsville, NY, a forth grade student at the Tri-Valley Central School and a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. She was 10 years old.

The daughter of John C. Macedonio and Pamela C. VanAken, she was born February 8, 2001 in Harris, NY.

Destiny was a flute player in the Tri-Valley Central School Elementary Band.

In a family statement it was said, "Destiny's nickname was Devious Destiny. She was a mommy's girl and she will be deeply missed."

Survivors include her parents, Pamela C. VanAken of Grahamsville, NY; her father, John C. Macedonio of East Northport, NY; five sisters, her twin, Faith Macedonio at home, Brianna Macedonio at home, Danielle Macedonio at home, Shannon Macedonio at home and Brittany Macedonio of Long Island, NY; her maternal grandparents, Ronnie and Bob VanAken of Grahamsville, NY; her paternal grandparents, Geraldine and Phillip Macedonio of Long Island, NY; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 5-8 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 12 Noon, in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church 264 North Main Street, Liberty, NY.
