Donald Hendrickson

Donald T. Hendrickson of Livingston Manor, NY a retired Correctional Officer at Sullivan Correctional Facility, Woodbourne, NY and a long time area resident, died Friday, August 13, 2021 at Achieve Rehab. and Nursing Facility, Liberty, NY.  He was 81.

The son of the late William and Helen Holstein Hendrickson, he was born June 13, 1940 in Cornwall, NY.

Donald proudly served our country in the United States Army; he was a participant at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Livingston Manor, NY; a member and former Chair of the House Committee at the Liberty Elks Lodge #1545; and a member of the Swamp Ridge Hunting Club.

Survivors include his wife, Vita “Vivian” Hendrickson, at home; three sons, Donald Hendrickson, Jr. and his wife Jodi, Kevin Hendrickson and his wife Jennifer, and Matthew Hendrickson and his wife Nancy all of Livingston Manor, NY; one daughter, Danielle Carlsen and her husband Brian of Livingston Manor, NY; four grandchildren, Jillian Michael, Kyle and Joshua; several nieces and nephews and his dear friend Gary Taggart.  He was predeceased by his brothers, William and Richard Hendrickson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 11 AM in the St. Aloysius Church, Church Street, Livingston Manor, NY.  Father Antony David and Father Edward Bader will co-officiate.

Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Livingston Manor, NY.
