Donald Knack

Donald E. Knack of Liberty, NY, a logger for Klein and Sons Logging, White Sulphur Springs, NY and a long time area resident, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He was 65.

The son of the late Bernard A. and Bessie Lee Herrin Knack, he was born July 9, 1948 in Aberdeen, WA.

Donald served Our County in the US Navy from 1968 to 1970; he loved the outdoors and wildlife; he was an avid hunter and fisherman; and he enjoyed time with his grandchildren and his dog, Bear.

Survivors include four sons, Brian Knack and his wife Veronica; Corey Knack and his companion Pamela McArdle, Ryan Knack and his fiancAC. Barbara Ramsey, and Thomas Knack and his companion Kim Hein; two daughters, Brandy McArthur and her husband Chris and Dixie Knack and her companion Ricardo Gomes; one brother, Wayne Knack; three grandchildren and his estranged wife, Marjorie Knack.

Visitation will be Friday, April 25, 2014 from 9 to 10:30 AM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Graveside services and burial with military honors will be Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11 AM in the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
