Donna Compton

Donna M. Compton of Jeffersonville, NY, a loving mother and a lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at her home. She was 56 years old.

The daughter of the late James R. and Charlotte Hyzer Hitt, she was born October 22, 1958 in Liberty, NY.

Donna enjoyed cheering for her sons during sporting events, spending time with her family and scrapbooking.

Survivors include two sons, John Compton and his wife Rhina of Ft. Mill, SC and Michael Compton of Poughkeepsie, NY; two grandchildren, Johnny and Jasmyn Compton; two sisters, Debbie of Florida and Diane Diescher and her husband Brian of Livingston Manor, NY ; brother, Jim Hitt of Tennessee; dear friend, Robert Blum and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, September 21, 2015 from 5-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home at West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 21, 2015 at 7 PM in the funeral home. Pastor Edward Sostak will officiate.

Private burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY
