Doris Parks

Doris Z. Parks of Cooks Falls, NY, a homemaker and a lifelong area resident died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Roscoe Regional Rehab. and Residential Health care Facility in Roscoe, NY. She was 90.

The daughter of the late Herbert and Freda Kortright Zahorik, she was born April 28, 1922 in Roscoe, NY.

Doris was a member of the United Church of Roscoe and for twenty five years was the secretary for the Pastor of the church; she was a charter member of the Cooks Falls-Horton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary; a former member of the Home Extension; and a member of the Belltones. For many years Doris worked with her late husband George in the family business.

Survivors include her daughter, Joan Conrow of Cooks Falls, NY; one granddaughter, Cindy Conrow of Cooks Falls, NY and two nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 1-2 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 2 PM in the funeral home. The Rev. David Collins will officiate.

Burial will be in the Cooks Falls Cemetery, Cooks Falls, NY.
