Doris Wehner of Ingalls, MI, formerly of Livingston Manor, NY, a retired registered nurse for Dr. Lewis Denman's Office, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Luther Home in Marinette, WI. She was 85.
The daughter of the late Pantelimon and Olga Nestor Kawash, she was born June 28, 1931 in Blakely, PA.
Doris was a member of the Livingston Manor United Methodist Church and had also been a member of the Fly Creek United Methodist Church; in her younger days she enjoyed snowmobiling and camping and later crocheting, knitting, tending her gardens and solving jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Wehner and his wife Lisa of Hartwick, NY and Barry Wehner and his wife Pat of Ingalls, MI; one brother, Michael Kawash and his wife Jessica of Carbondale, PA; five grandchildren, Jen, Cody, Chris, Chase, and Sammy; several nieces and nephews including, Carol Ellmauer and her husband Leo of Youngsville, NY and Lori Kawash of Binghamton, NY.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Wehner, whom she married in October of 1956; and by one brother, Eugene Kawash.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.
Funeral services will be Saturday April 29, 2017 at 1 PM in the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Beaverkill Cemetery, Beaverkill, NY.
Memorial contributions in Doris' name may be made to the American Heart Association, PO box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
