Dorothy Roselene McAdams, 86, of Roscoe, NY, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Roscoe Regional Rehab. & Residential Health Care Facility in Roscoe, NY.

The daughter of the late Ulysses Monroe Chamberlain, Roseville, PA and Stella Cooper, Elmira, NY. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband's Charles C. Makinster and Bernard V. McAdams. She is the sibling to Wendell Chamberlain and predeceased Elise Noto. Survived by her Aunt Bethaldo Viola Chamberlain Wright (1912- ) her son and daughters, Charles C. and wife Doris Makinster, Bonnie and husband, Rick Schmitt and Connie and husband Darrell Daniels, six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy worked hard at any job she held and always had a ready smile to pass your way. You would remember her if you worked or participated at the Roscoe Diner during the 70's, at Grossinger's in the Catskill resort region or at the Westminster Canterbury in Virginia Beach, VA where she drove a van in the 80's. While living in Sarasota Florida, she ran a cleaning service. Dorothy and Bernard moved back to the Roscoe area to retire and enjoy the quiet with family. They were avid Pinochle players.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 11 AM-1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 1 PM in the funeral home. The Rev. JoAnne Utley will officiate.

Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY.

Memorial contributions in Dorothy's name may be made to the Roscoe Reg. Rehab. & Residential Health Care Facility 420 Rockland Road, Roscoe, NY 12776; where Dorothy was well taken care of by all who knew and loved "Aunt Dot".
