Dorothy Miesner

Dorothy A. Miesner of Roscoe, NY, a home maker and a long time area resident died peacefully Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Roscoe Regional Rehabilitation and Residential Health Care Facility, Roscoe, NY. She was 91.

The daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Brahms Bensch, she was born September 14, 1920 in Queens, NY.

Dorothy was a member of the United Church of Roscoe and a member of its Couple's Club, and a member of the Roscoe-Rockland Senior Citizens Group. She enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Carlson and her husband David of Skaneateles, NY and Helen Bartlett and her husband Robert of Utica, NY; one son, Paul W. Miesner and his wife Lorraine of Roscoe, NY; six grandchildren, Paul Carlson, Jeanne Carlson Seale and her husband Colton, Matthew Bartlett and his wife Julie, James Bartlett and his wife Katie, Karen Bartlett Hertline and her husband Joseph and Helen Rose Miesner; and four great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-three years, Martin J. Miesner on February 4, 2007.

Graveside services and burial will be private in the Tennanah Lake Cemetery, Tennanah Lake, NY.
