Dorothy Quick

Dorothy Quick of Roscoe, NY, a retired seamstress and longtime area resident, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Delaware Valley Hospital, Walton, NY. She was 87.

The daughter of the late Thomas F. and Matilda Frisbie Clark, she was born August 21, 1926 in Jessup, PA.

Dorothy was a communicant of the Gate of Heaven Church, Roscoe, NY; a member of the Twin Village Golf Club, Roscoe, NY; and a member of the International Garment Workers Union. In a family statement it was said, "She was a wonderful, loving, and caring mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her."

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Trask and her husband Thomas of Roscoe, NY; and one son, James Bedford and his wife Belva of Jefferson Township, PA; two brothers, Joseph Clark of Newfoundland, PA and James Clark and his wife Lucy of Jessup, PA; one sister, Shirley Tucker and her husband David of Roscoe, NY; step-children, Tom Quick and his wife JoAnne and family, John Quick and family, Cathy Rice and family; three grandchildren, Patricia Huggins and her husband Bruce of Roscoe, NY, Bridget Bedford of Jefferson Township, PA, and James Bedford, III of Jessup, PA; three great grandchildren, Bruce Huggins of Torrance, CA, Jesse Huggins of Roscoe, NY, and Amanda Huggins of Roscoe, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Quick, Sr.; two sisters, AnnaMae Jenkins and Cora Milk; and three brothers, Thomas Clark, William Clark, and Fred Clark.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Monday, August 11, 2014 at 10 AM in the Gate of Heaven Church, Roscoe, NY.

Burial will be in the St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow, PA.
