Edward W. Gerwer

Edward W. Gerwer of Liberty, NY a retired truck driver and a longtime area resident died Friday, March 7, 2025 at Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, NY. He was 64.

The son of the late Edward L. and Nira Gerwer, he was born January 15, 1961 in Red Bank, NJ.  Edward enjoyed spending time with his family and will be remembered as having a "Heart of Gold".

Survivors include one son, Edward L. Gerwer of Sevierville, TN; one daughter, Jessica E. Gerwer of Sevierville, TN; two sisters, Jeannie Gerwer and Cheryl Britten; one brother, David Gerwer; one granddaughter, Jayden E. Barton and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Janet Striffler.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 10-11 AM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 11 AM in the funeral home. Father Edward Bader will officiate.
