Edward Kraycer

Edward J. Kraycer of Liberty, NY, a retired warehouse traffic manager for Yaun Company, Liberty, NY and a long time area resident died Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 70.

The son of the late Joseph and Helen Swierczek Kraycer, he was born April 20, 1946 in Olyphant, PA.

Edward proudly served Our Country in the US Army with the 11th Armored Calvary, Black Horse Division from 1966 to 1967 during the Vietnam War; and was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid model train collector; a member of the Lionel Train Collectors Club and the Train Collectors Club of America. He enjoyed fixing electronics and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors his wife Susan Neumann Kraycer, at home; two daughters, Tara Clark and her husband Stephen of Loch Sheldrake, NY and Emily Link and her husband Steven of Watervliet, NY; four grandchildren, Britany Clark, Nicholas Clark, Jack Link, and Jason Link; one brother, Michael Kraycer and his wife Gaile of Liberty, NY; one aunt, Elizabeth Narvid of Eynon, PA; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, one great grand niece, two great grand nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his son, Jason E. Kraycer; one brother, Joseph Kraycer; and two sisters, Anna Payne and Bernice Danzer.

The Kraycer Family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Catskill Regional Medical Center for their excellent care.

Visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 264 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY. Father William Scafidi will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.

Memorial contributions in Edward's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or to St. Peter's Church - Building Fund, 264 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754.
