Edward Lamphier

Edward Charles Lamphier, 78, long-time resident of Roscoe, NY, passed away peacefully on New Year's Day at 2:10 AM, surrounded by family. A former member of the 173rd Airborne Brigade and a Vietnam veteran, he didn't waste a single moment, living life to the fullest. He was always willing to lend an attentive ear and offer the soundest advice he could, especially to his children, as he was a warm and caring father. He was preceded by two brothers, Robert and Howard, his daughter Maria Serrano, and three nephews; James Hanratty, Ed Lamphier, and Robert Lamphier. He is survived by his sister Dorothy Irving, his son Edward James Lamphier, his daughter Laura Pagan, and many nieces and nephews. There will be no services, as per his request. The family only asks that, if you knew him in life, celebrate and remember those moments as you see fit.
