Edythe McCoach Rauch of Liberty, NY, a lifelong area resident passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 at her home. She was 98. The daughter of the late Joseph D. and Mabel Hadden McCoach, she was born January 14, 1918 in Fosterdale, NY.
Edythe married Fenton Calkin of Lake Huntington in 1934 and she later married Henry J. Rauch of Lake Huntington in 1946; he passed away November 9, 1998.
She had worked in various places over the years and retired after 22 years of employment as a recording clerk with the Sullivan County Clerk's office in Monticello, NY.
She is survived by her dearly loved daughter-in-law Marilyn Calkin of Oneonta, NY; her beloved sister-in-law, Patricia McCoach of Liberty, NY; two very loved granddaughters, Linda Head and her husband Keith of VA and Nancy Perrotti and her husband Peter of CT; her much loved great grandchildren, Samantha Reimold, Kyle Head, Kiernan Perrotti and Justine Perrotti; great great-grandchild, Luca Reimold; and many dear to her heart nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Fenton Calkin; grandson, James Calkin; sister, Arlene Starck; two brothers, Thomas McCoach and Clifford McCoach.
Visitation will be Monday, July 18, 2016 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 10 AM in the funeral home. The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.
Burial will be in the Fosterdale Cemetery, Fosterdale, NY.
Memorial contributions in Edythe's name may be made to the Fosterdale United Methodist Church - Cemetery Fund, 62 Old County Rd, Cochecton, NY 12726.
