Elizabeth Mullen

Elizabeth "Betty" A. Mullen of Liberty, NY, a retired secretary for Liberty Central School District and a long time area resident, died Saturday October 22, 2016 at the Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. She was 86.

The daughter of the late Andrew and Sarah O'Donnell McSherry, she was born February 28, 1930 in West Haven, CT.

Betty was a communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Liberty, NY.

Survivors include one son, Kevin Mullen and his wife Linda of Liberty, NY; three daughters, Lisa Atkins and her husband Alfred of Warwick, NY, Kim Mullen of Lava, NY, and Sally Alvarez of Pompano Beach, FL; six grandchildren, Tek, Evan, Sol Andrew, Matthew, Laine, and Devin; and five great grandchildren, Maizy Reign, Liahna, Mila, Lincoln, and Dean.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 10 AM in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 264 North Main Street, Liberty, NY. Father William Scafidi will officiate.

Burial will be in the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery, Liberty, NY.

Memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church - Restoration Fund, 264 North Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754.
