Emilia Symanski

Emilia H. Symanski of Parksville, NY, a homemaker and a long time area resident, died peacefully at home on Thursday, May 26, 2022.

The daughter of the late Vincent and Agnes Jakubczak Nebus, she was born June 25, 1925 in South Amboy N.J.

Emilia was a Communicant of the St. Peter’s R. C. Church in Liberty as well as a Rosarian in the church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Symanski, Sr., they were married for 54 years and resided in Parksville NY.

Survivors include three sons, Vincent Symanski and his wife Laurene of Cochecton, NY, Joseph Symanski and his wife Joan of Tafton PA, and Paul Symanski and his wife, Toni of Parksville, NY; three daughters, Joanne McPhillips and her husband Vincent of Parksville, NY, Christine Nawrath of Burlington , North Carolina, and Cynthia Lee and her husband Milton of Saratoga Springs, NY; two brothers, Dan Nebus of Middletown, NY,  and Stephen Nebus of Cedar Grove NJ; 11 grandchildren, Nicholas Symanski, Meridith Caruso, Kenneth Symanski, Megan Sikora, Matthew McPhillips, Christopher Symanski, Melissa Symanski, Maria Symanski, Paul Symanski Jr., Amelia Lee and David Lee; six great grandchildren, Logan and Emily Caruso, Julianna and Nicholas Symanski, Zachary and Adam Sikora.

She was predeceased by a sister, Theresa Durski, and 3 brothers, Vincent, Walter, and Eugene Nebus.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11 AM in St. Peter’s R. C. Church 264 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY.  Father Edward Bader will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Liberty, NY.

Memorial contributions in Emilia’s name may be made to St. Peter’s Church 264 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754.
