Eric S. Williams of Jeffersonville, NY, a self-employed construction worker and a lifelong area resident died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center, Liberty, NY after a long illness. He was 70.
The son of Jennie Nolan and the late Jack Williams, he was born December 7, 1946 in Liberty, NY.
After graduating from Liberty High School, Eric proudly served our country in the US Army, completing a tour of duty in Vietnam where he received two Bronze Stars. In 1969, he married Patricia Kelly. They were married for 46 years until her death on November 12, 2015.
Eric had an insulation and thermo window business for several years. He owned horses that he raced at Monticello, Yonkers and Garden State. When he wasn't tending his horses, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He leaves his mother, Jennie Nolan; three children, Todd Williams of Jeffersonville, NY, Kim Williams of Royal Palm Beach, FL and Derik Nolan; two sisters, JoAnne Ashforth (Fred), and Barbara Huggins, and a special cousin, Howard (Chipper) Travis. He will be greatly missed by his four grandchildren, Hunter, Tyler, Lucas and Jasmine.
He is predeceased by his father, Jackie Williams; stepfather, Bob Nolan; and brothers, Bill and Bobby Nolan.
Graveside services and burial with military honors will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11 AM in the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
