Ernest "Ernie" T. Eason

Ernest, affectionately called “Ernie”, was born on June 26, 1963 to Barbara and Ernest Eason. He resided at Letchworth Developmental Center prior to being admitted to The Center for Discovery in November of 1995. Ernie moved into the Rapp Road ICF where he lived for the next twelve years. In September, 2007, Ernie moved to the Tulip ICF where resided for almost seventeen years. Ernie was a social and happy individual with a quick smile and a great sense of humor. He enjoyed watching game shows such as “Wheel of Fortune,” and “Jeopardy.” Ernie also enjoyed a variety of activities within his residential and day programs including campus concerts, walks in the healing garden and house and campus celebrations.  Ernie took pleasure in the social aspects of his neighborhood participating in music, games and dance activities during the weekly TAFT program, along with his friends within the Life Center. 

Visitation will be Monday April 1, 2024 from 11AM - 12 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY. A Celebration of Ernie’s life will take place at 12PM in the funeral home.

Dignified cremation provided by Harris Crematorium, LLC, burial of cremains will be in the Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown, NY in the Spring.
